Trouble Shooting Audio/Midi in 314 - 2004
First you need a correct audio-midi setup.
Go to the Users drive and get Defult.cfg
Next
Put Default.cfg here:

Now go to ApplicationsàUtilitiesà Audio-Midi (It will look like a keyboard)
![]()
Open this and make sure you switch the configuration to default

Next Click on Audio Devices and change all the settings to this:

Now in Performer and Peak we need to select the correct settings:
In Performer go to SETUP à Configure Audio System à Configure Hardware Driver
It should look like this:

Next change your input and output options from built-in Audio 1-2
to Audio 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, or 7-8.
It should look something like this:

In Peak:
Click It should be in bar at the top of the screen
Next click Device and Sample Format
A window will pop-up and should look like this:

You may want to change Record Through to 5 & 6 if you have any problems. Click Ok
Next open Hardware Setting, It should look like this:

Finally in Max/Msp:
Go to Extras à Audio Tester: This will pop-up

Double Click on DAC~

The important thing is to make sure the Driver and Input Device are set to
Core Audio PCI-424 and PCI-424 respectively. Now you can change
Input Channel 1 + Input Channel 2 and Output Channel 1 + Output Channel 2 to Input and output 1-8,
*You should make sure the Channel 1 input and output are set to the same input and output(for example here Input and output on Channel 1 are sent to input and output 5)
Good luck
